Benoni Flying Squad’s weekend successes in Tembisa

Investigation continues in all cases.

From December 13 to 16, the Benoni Flying Squad (BFS) members arrested three suspects and recovered two vehicles.

WO Grant Giblin, communications officer of Benoni Flying Squad, said members followed up information which led to Lucina Street, Makhulong Section, Tembisa, where two suspects were found in possession of a silver Toyota Auris, stolen in Tembisa. They were arrested and the vehicle impounded.

“Members also arrested a suspect in Rietduiker Street, Rabie Ridge, after he was found in possession of the drug Cat,” said Giblin.

Giblin also said an abandoned vehicle, a white Toyota Hilux, was recovered in Ivory Park Extension 11, which was hijacked in Marikana.

Investigation continues in all cases.

The suspects, aged 28 to 35, will be appearing in the local magistrate’s courts to face charges of possession of stolen motor vehicle and possession of drugs.
