Miss Uniform 2019 crowned

Miss Uniform crowned its ambassadors.

The Miss Uniform pageant, which crowned its 2019 queen on December 13, aims to groom young women into independent, confident members of the community.

Young women from various schools in Tembisa and Ivory Park were at Moses Molelekwa Art Centre to showcase their talent and battle it out on stage to be crowned Miss Uniform Queen.

By the end of the evening, Siphesihle Mtshweni cried tears of joy as she was crowned queen.

Mahlogonolo Phasha, co-founder of Miss Uniform, said the pageant was very successful and met all their expectations.

“By the end of the day, we congratulated the winners and fellow participates for their bravery on stage and willingness to partake in last year’s competition.

“We look to groom and mentor the young generation to be strong independent stars and future leaders.

“They are going to be their schools’ ambassadors and that is a lot to carry on their shoulders. The duties that come with the titles are massive.

“We believe we have the right winners and best brand representatives to carry out our vision while their missions are set,” said Phasha.

The audience was also entertained by the performances of local artists, and saw the 2018 Miss Uniform queen walk the stage one last time before handing over her crown.

Alongside Mtshweni was Cornelia Mokgohloa as the princess, Levay Manabalala as MMU personality and Unathi Tyumre as Miss Uniform Model With Purpose.
