Two alleged housebreakers, aged 43 and 47, were cornered in Rhodesfield on Friday following a chase with police.
Capt Jethro Mtshali, spokesperson for Kempton Park SAPS, said flat screen television sets were found in their possession.
According to him crime prevention members, while conducting patrols in Rhodesfield around noon, were summoned to Gauntlet Street where they were informed two suspects in a bakkie allegedly broke into a house a short while ago.
“The police intensified their patrols in the area and spotted the bakkie. A chase ensued and members forced the suspects off the road. Two alleged stolen television sets were found in their possession.
The men will face charges of housebreaking and theft and possession of stolen goods in Kempton Park Magistrate’s Court.
