Alleged dagga dealer nabbed on North Rand Road

Dagga to the value of R1 000 was confiscated.

The metro police arrested an alleged dagga dealer on North Rand Road in Kempton Park central business district early on Wednesday morning.

According to Kobeli Mokheseng, metro police spokesperson, the arrest was made at 6.30am during a crime prevention operation in the area.

Doing a body search, officers discovered 94.6g of dagga on the 38-year old suspect, packed in 50 plastic bags to the value of R1 000, as well as R1 420 cash. The suspect was handcuffed and taken to Kempton Park Police Station.

Charges of possession and dealing in dagga were registered against the arrestee.
