In a bizarre incident, a 45-year-old woman, who resides in Winnie Mandela, handed herself over to the police after she fatally stabbed a 42-year-old man.
The incident, which has left the entire community shocked, happened last Friday at Zone 1, Mandela Mandela Section.
“Apparently, the deceased from Hospital View Extension Six was drinking beer at a local shebeen with a number of other people including the suspect.

According to witnesses who were also drinking at this very same shebeen, an argument ensued between the deceased and the suspect. The argument became so heated until the pair poured each other with liquor. This is when the suspect is alleged to have broken a beer bottle and stabbed the deceased on the neck,” explained Manyadza.
He went on saying that the deceased stumbled and fell on the ground and became emotionless.
“The suspect ran to the deceased’s place of residence where she informed the deceased’s father about the incident.
They both rushed to the scene and while the father of the deceased was still busy trying to resuscitate his son, the suspect sped off to the police station where she handed herself over. Paramedics declared the victim dead on arrival,” he clarified.
The suspect was detained and charged with murder. At the time of going to press, the suspect had not yet appeared before court.
