In a dramatic twist of events, murder accused Derrick Khoza appeared before Tembisa Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday instead of the earlier scheduled date of February 28.
Once again, throngs of angry community members, led by the EFF and the ANC, packed the court room hoping Khoza did not get bail.

Before court proceedings, the community staged a peaceful protest, opposing Khoza’s bail.
They also accused authorities of trying to go soft on the accused by changing the initial court date.
Khoza stands accused of killing his girlfriend, Lorna Shivhambu, a civil engineering student at the Limpopo based TVET College, Vhembe.
Shivhambu was found dead by her mother and members of the police after she had been missing for days.
Khoza handed himself over to the police in Mpumalanga after he had been on the run.
