In a similar pattern where famous Paralympic gold medalist Oscar Pistorius killed his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp, on Valentine’s Day seven years ago, a 47-year-old man was also arrested on February 14 in Thembisa, Tlamatlama section, for killing his girlfriend.
According to police spokesperson Const Patricia Mgijima, the 46-year-old victim was found dead on the morning of February 14 after police reacted to a call by the boyfriend.
“On arrival, police found the victim dead and immediately arrested the boyfriend. He will soon appear before the court,” said Mgijima.
According to sourced information, the two were allegedly heard arguing the previous night, but what the argument was about is not known.
