Rabie Ridge Engen garage, at the corner of Dale and Allandale roads, Austin View, Midrand, was robbed of an undisclosed amount of money on February 13 at around 10.35pm.
The complainant, a cashier at the garage, alleged he was working at the till with his colleague when two unknown African males entered the shop and bought R10 airtime.
Const Jacob Nhlongo, Rabie Ridge SAPS communications officer, said the suspects stood by the count, observing for a few seconds.
“Suddenly two more African males entered the shop and withdrew firearms and pointed them at the employees, demanding money. The suspects took an undisclosed amount from the tills, cigarettes and some snacks. They fled in an unknown vehicle which was parked next to Allandale Road.
“The suspects are unknown at this stage and a case of business robbery is currently being investigated. SAPS is appealing to anyone with information regarding the robbery or whereabouts of the suspects to urgently contact Rabie Ridge SAPS on 011 310 0413,” concluded Nhlongo.
