A 30-year-old man implicated in the murder of his sibling following a street fight in Kempton Park central business district, will apply for bail in Kempton Park Magistrate’s Court today [Wednesday].
Decline Nwaizudge (Batista), who was arrested on the scene, was charged with murder and briefly appeared in court on February 12, when the case was postponed for a formal bail application.
The incident, which took place on February 10, was filmed. The video went viral and has since been removed by Facebook.
Nwaizudge was caught on video having a verbal and physical confrontation with the deceased. He then hurled a brick which hit the victim on his head.
The victim was admitted to hospital but died on February 11.
Capt Jethro Mtshali, spokesperson for Kempton Park SAPS, said the suspect had been charged with murder.
