The planned 11-hour power outage on Friday in certain suburbs in Kempton Park has been extended by at least four hours.
Ward councillor Jaco Terblanche received the following message about 30 minutes before the power was due to to be back on 7pm:
“Due to unforeseeable circumstances the estimated restoration time “will revise to 23:00” (sic).
“However, we are making all efforts to restore power earlier. Our team is currently busy with the final testing.”
The affected areas are Norkem Park, Birchleigh, Witfontein, Allen Grove and Glen Marais.
