
Rabie Ridge police dealt with a murder case after community members reported spotting a body in an open space near Cambridge Crossing shopping centre on March 2.
Upon police’s arrival, a black male was found on the ground. The man is known and his family was traced and brought to the scene of the crime.
Const Jacob Nhlongo, Rabie Ridge communications officer, said the deceased had visible injuries to his head and the police do not know what happened to the victim.
“We want to thank the community members who spotted the deceased and reported it to the police. We would like to call on the community to assist us in the investigation of the man’s death.
“It is very important for us to report such things to the police by calling 10111 or the local police station on 011 310 0410/20. The MySAPS app and SMS line (32211) can also be utilised,” said Nhlongo.
