
The City of Ekurhuleni is in the process of migrating to a new and improved consumer billing system.
The new system will be rolled out in phases until June this year.
The first roll-out of the system is to Alberton and Brakpan customer care centres from March 7 to 18. Billing processes will be affected during the system migration; therefore, account statements, including on the Siyakhokha website, will be delayed, said City of Ekurhuleni spokesperson Themba Gadebe.
However, account payments will not be affected and all payment platforms will be available to customers.
Customers are reminded to continue paying their monthly account by the due date, as credit control measures will still be applied.
