Police officers at Rabie Ridge Police Station arrested six suspects for possession of suspected stolen goods on March 19.
Communications officer Const Jacob Nhlongo said: “At around 5.30pm the SAPS crime prevention police members were busy with their patrols when they spotted a big truck parked in a yard in Austin View.”
He said the police stopped to check the truck. Upon arrival, the police found five males and one female.
“The suspects were busy offloading groceries which belonged to Imperial Logistics. The premises they were offloading the groceries at were not that of a business,” said Nhlongo.
He said the police officers then asked the driver to provide an invoice for the goods, but he failed to do so.
“All six suspects were arrested and detained at the Rabie Ridge Police Station. The suspects will appear at the Thembisa Magistrate’s Court soon,” said Nhlongo.
