The City of Ekurhuleni is in the process of migrating to a new and improved consumer billing system.
Kempton Park and Boksburg are next in line to migrate to the new system which will be rolled out in phases until June.
“The roll-out of the system to Boksburg and Kempton Park will be from April 4 to 16,” said Themba Gadebe, metro spokesperson.
“The billing processes in these areas will be affected during the system migration, therefore account statements, including on the Siyakhokha website, will be delayed.”
Gadebe also said account payments will not be affected and all payment platforms will be available to customers.
“Customers are reminded to continue paying their monthly account by the due date, as credit control measures will still be applied,” he said.
“We apologise for the inconvenience caused.”
