Metro looks into water pressure issues

The City apologises for any inconveniences caused.

After almost a month of complaints about low to no water pressure in Bonaero Park, the City of Ekurhuleni is looking at the problem.

According to Themba Gadebe, spokesperson for the City, residents and businesses in Bonaero Park, Brentwood Park and Pomona are affected.

“We are aware of the water supply interruption affecting certain areas. The experienced low water pressure to no water in parts of these areas during peak hours from 8am to noon daily is receiving attention.

“Technicians are attending to the problem. To this end, and as part of the investigations to determine the root cause, loggers and flow meters have been strategically installed within the water supply network to determine where the system is losing pressure. The analysis of the logging will be completed on or before June 23,” said Gadebe.
