TSHAD Board chairperson David Bambata remembered

The chairperson of Thembisa Self Help Association of the Disabled (TSHAD), David Bambata (53), died on August 1 in Arwyp Hospital.
His death was Covid-19 related.
The TSHAD Board, the association beneficiaries, parents of the beneficiaries and the broader constituency of the association mourned this untimely loss.
According to Nelson Lamityi, board secretary, Bambata contributed to the improved state of the association, which runs several projects at its centre situated in Esangweni section, Thembisa.
“He was a great leader who was helpful to all board members, beneficiaries and the parents of the beneficiaries. He was committed to providing leadership.
“Since his tenure as the chairperson of the board his contribution was always to inspire the vision for the centre to create something out of nothing, particularly in our recycling project.
“To the Bambata family and friends and comrades he worked with at Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality – we share your pain.
“TSHAD family will eternally be grateful to you for sharing his life with us,” said Lamityi.
