It has been a year since the residents of Ward 15 put their trust in councillor Amanda Davison.
Ward 15 includes Birchleigh, Glen Marais Proper and a majority of Van Riebeeck Park.
“It’s a year later, and I am still here. I am not going to lie; it has been a tough, yet fulfilling year.”

Davison said progress in her ward includes:
- Improved waste removal.
- Upgrade and maintenance of water and electricity infrastructure.
- Initiating renovation of the SAPS flats in Matumi, Birchleigh.
She said concerns communicated to the City of Ekurhuleni include Rietvlei wetland on both sides of the railway, illegal buildings and backyard dwellings, Elgin Railway bridge, Glen Marais stormwater and the chemical smell lingering over Van Riebeeck Park.
“Being your ward councillor means to represent you, the community, in the governance structures of the City of Ekurhuleni, through which we can drive issues and IDP priorities for ward 15,” said Davison.
