Ward 104 Clr Tracey Lourenco (52) plays a central role in the communication process between the areas she represents and the City of Ekurhuleni.
Ward 104 includes Edleen, Esther Park, Terenure, Kempton Park West, Birch Acres to Maraboe Street and Ambrosia Steet and a small part of Van Riecbeeck Park.
“Service delivery is at an all-time low. As councillors, we rely on the service of the officials in the various departments to address power outages, parks and open spaces not being maintained and shebeens and taverns operating in residential areas.

“Covid-19 is often the reason for non-delivery of services. This leaves our residents with a lot to desire. Even before lockdown we were faced with many challenges.”
She said she aims to address residents’ concerns via oversight, petitions and questions to council, continuous communication with residents and officials and accountability through the IDP process.
She aims to improve service delivery to an effective level and hopes for upgrades to energy and sewer infrastructure and improved maintenance in future. She said her goal is to assist wherever possible, be honest and reliable and have her residents’ interests at heart.
“I also work to hold the metro accountable. The residents of Ward 104 have been amazing, despite the level of service delivery they are receiving. I strive to give my best to serve them as best I can.”
