Convoy to gather on Saturday for group prayer
Botha said a group prayer will be done at noon at a location near Nederburg Avenue in Glen Marais once the convoy, along with multiple reactionary services, has made its way through the town.
“If you see this bakkie with white flags on Saturday in Kempton Park, then join our convoy,” said Jaco Botha, organiser of South Africa for God.

“At 9am, I will be here with my bakkie, in addition to others, geared with white flags. If you tail in behind us, I humbly request you adhere to the road rules. Once we gather at noon, you may remain seated in your car, and we’ll do the collective prayer.

“I can’t wait. I feel like I’m about to embark on a rugby match with butterflies in my stomach. I want to leave this message with you: we are a proud nation. We are proud of our children, and our children want us to be proud of them.
“But then I want to ask: When our heavenly Father looks down on you, is He proud?”
Botha encouraged members of the Kempton Park community to ride along with him and say a prayer for South Africa on September 5 from 9am to noon.
