The Department of Employment and Labour educated the homeless about the Employment Services of South Africa website.

Individuals seeking learning or work opportunities can obtain guidance via the site, which will match the job seeker with employers.

According to Mokgethi, the department will also attempt to reunify some of the beneficiaries with their families.

“Many of the homeless today have been struck by a personal tragedy and lack a support system to get help. That’s why we are here as Social Development to offer programmes that will assist the homeless to stand on their own feet.”

Mzoxolo Mdudo, one of the beneficiaries, hopes the department carries out its plans.

“I believe we will be able to get back on our feet,” said Mdudo.
