Editor – Many residents have gripes (often justified) about the City of Ekurhuleni’s energy department, especially when there are problems at, for example, sub-stations.
Such issues leave residents without power for many hours at a time. My family too has suffered from such unexpected and definitely unwanted outages.
However, when credit is due, let us give it.

On Monday morning, September 28, I reported a streetlight in one of the roads in Van Riebeeck Park not working via an email to the call centre. Less than 24 hours later on Tuesday, a technician was on-site, replacing the bulb.
Now, that’s what I call service.
