Woman (42) killed in Zuurfontein Road collision

Charge of culpable homicide investigated.

A 42-year-old woman was killed when she allegedly hit by a vehicle on Zuurfontein Road on Sunday evening at around 10pm.
The 31-year-old driver of a Volkswagen Sedan immediately stopped after the incident.

According to the spokesperson for Sebenza SAPS, Sgt Sharon Tsotsotso, a charge of culpable homicide was opened.

“The accused alleged that the woman was first struck by another vehicle, which was driving in the middle lane. The driver said he attempted to apply the emergency brake, but the woman collided into his windshield following the impact from the other vehicle,” Tsotsotso said. Investigations continue.
