Reader: “Catch a wake up Ekurhuleni – before lives are lost.”

The pictures displaying the hazardous issue of missing manhole covers were taken only 50m away from a local primary school.

Editor – The pictures attached show you what a disgrace our roads are in and around Kempton Park.

These two pictures are merely 50m away from a local primary school where hundreds of children are dropped off to and from school daily.

Some kind Samaritan has planted a tree in the manhole to prevent drivers from driving into the manhole and wrecking their cars.

This manhole has been missing for at least six months now. Am I the first person to tell Ekurhuleni of this potential hazard? I doubt it.

However, I may be the first to send pictures to the Kempton Express. If I currently worked for Ekurhuleni I would definitely not brag about it.
