Emulous Rivals Foundation tends to communities of Thembakhoza and Ivory Park

Through Miss Community Changer, the foundation was able to reach and target a number of homes that needed help with a number of things.

Emulous Rivals Foundation (ERF) recently visited marginalised areas in Ivory Park to offer their support to the communities of Thembakhoza and Ivory Park Extension Seven.
The foundation has dedicated to helping the people of its community. The Miss Community Changer pageant operating under the auspices of the foundation has also played a vital role in helping the community.
According to Betty Mulaudzi, ERF founder, they have recently hosted a soup kitchen that feeds people on two separate days.
“We first went to Thembakhoza to feed at least 160 people. On the second day we went to Ivory Park Ext Seven and fed about 120 children,” said Mulaudzi.
“The responses from these communities were amazing and proved they needed the help. We fed them and distributed toiletries and clothes.”
The 25-year-old said she hopes this initiative could take place at least once a month.
“The foundation wants to support the community with their needs. We also provide assistance with school-related needs.
“The pandemic has hindered our progress. We were supposed to have hosted activities like school debates and sports activities to keep young people away from the streets,” said Mulaudzi.
Through Miss Community Changer, the foundation was able to reach and target a number of homes that needed help with a number of things.
Mulaudzi added they were able to involve the pageant’s titleholders in the process of assisting these homes.
“We donated clothes to at least three homes since the beginning of this year.”
Mulaudzi partnered with Bianca Malatjie and founded the Guys Talk initiative.
“Guys Talk focuses on grooming young boys to being active and productive young men abstaining from drugs. We offer counselling and emotional support and guidance,” said Mulaudzi.
