Women now run businesses, lead countries and make substantial contributions to society.
A table was set up for women in Thembisa to help them fix their crowns at a women empowerment business conference held on August 19 in Gatalenna.
This event aimed to promote female leadership throughout the community to establish a country where women are fully included in the decision-making processes that would define their future.
The gathering was graced by women who have a wealth of knowledge to impart to their fellow sisters.

This included artists, businesswomen, spiritual leaders, a head of correctional services, journalists and motivational speakers.
Young women aiming to work in various fields of business, as well as those looking to start and run their businesses, found the conference to be a persuasive road map.
The young women were encouraged to take control of their life, redefine success and take charge of their destiny.
Event organiser and founder of Tshegofatso Rona Welfare, Cynthia Nomsa Dinalane, said the purpose of the event was to enable women to realise their greatest potential by restoring their crowns.
“While the creative endeavour allows for deeper ties to be formed, the women’s initiative experience has a long-term value.
“Each person’s effort serves as a lasting recall of everything we discussed in the crown-fixing course. When a participant puts on her crown or takes out her card keeper, she is reminded of the resources she has at her disposal and encouraged to use them.
“A basic thing becomes a far more powerful expression of her leadership abilities,” said Dinalane.
