Local beauty pageant finalists indulge in high tea

The event began with Ratile Mabitsela, the pageant's director, as the main speaker.

The Miss Thembisa Pageant held a finalist reveal high tea at Imbizo Shisanyama, Mall of Thembisa, in August.

The finalists are Karabo Salantha Phalane, Tinyiko Chauke, Pretonessa Thedingoane, Caitlin Shantell Lubisi, Tlou Hlako, Mahlako Machaba, Tshepedisho Mojela, Mmaphuti Kgakgathu Moloto,

Pretty Nhachona, Ria Malatji, Irene Selokela and Thembeka Mbatha.

The pageant activities included the collection of sanitary pads and hygiene products that were donated to Tshepang Care Centre in Vusimuzi and the Miss Thembisa Mandela Day Winter Drive, which included the collection of clothes, blankets and non-perishable food items donated to Tshepang Care Centre in Ivory Park.

She stressed the significance of community leaders and empowering women in the Thembisan community. She plans to use the pageant as a platform to develop girls into role models.
