Several women guest speakers attended and Adv Patricia Masinga from the correctional centre in Atteridgeville spoke about gender-based violence.

Guest speaker Ipeleng Mogorosi, an occupational mineral inspector, spoke about empowering women in mining and Bareng Mngomezulu, AfriSam WIM Gauteng chairperson, talked about celebrating women by ensuring work satisfaction.

“Mining was a male-dominated industry and thus we looked at topics like women taking up leadership positions,” said Mngomezulu.
