Child hospitalised after nearly drowning

ER24 was called to a scene in Bonaero Park following reports of a possible drowning on September 7.

Russel Meiring, the communications officer for ER24, said paramedics arrived at 11:57 and found a a neighbour administering CPR to a child.

“As medics approached the child, they found that his vital signs quickly returned, and he had begun to cry.”

The child was transported to a nearby hospital for further care.
