MN Foundation is a local organisation created to raise awareness of the dangers of substance abuse.
Through campaigns, referrals and support, the organisation aims to raise awareness and educate about the risks of drugs.
Their primary goal is to combat drug and substance misuse, which is on the rise among young people despite its detrimental effects on daily life and social connections.
Working to educate people about the physical risks of substance use and equipping them with practical solutions for avoiding difficult situations offers people the knowledge they need to justify their substance abstinence.

According to Zanele Xaba, the foundation’s spokesperson, the goal of the campaign is to reach out to the community and the youth involved, as well as those who are not, to encourage them to join them in their efforts to find solutions that will help reduce drug use.
“Peer pressure, the neighbourhoods in which children reside and a general disintegration of strong family systems are all factors that contribute to youngsters becoming involved with drugs.
“Creating an NGO like this to raise awareness and reach as many people as possible is a beneficial significance for us as an organisation because we attracted the attention of many people on the streets, and perhaps our message will be heard.
“We are a registered NPO dedicated to addressing alcohol and other drug problems by providing specialised prevention, treatment and community development services to all residents of Thembisa, thereby improving their quality of life and restoring self-respect and dignity to those affected by addiction.
“We are appealing to the public and private sectors to help us achieve our aims and combat the plague of drugs in our city and neighbourhoods in every manner possible,” said Xaba. For more information contact Xaba on 079 920 3603 or at mndlovufoundation@gmail.com
