Kempton wins 3-1

With this win, Kempton Park SAPS now sits 11th on the log.

Kempton Park SAPS soccer team won their first game of the season last Wednesday when they went up against Rabie Ridge SAPS.

Kempton’s home game was a 3-1 victory hosted at Rhodesfield Technical High School.

The match started slowly, with Kempton Park showing dominance from the start. The first half left much to be desired as both teams struggled to find the back of the net. The half-time score was 0-0.

The second half started with a bang, with Rabie Ridge scoring. They maintained the lead for a while until a penalty by Kempton Park secured an equaliser by Joe Junior Ezeh, one of the non-SAPS players in the squad.

A few minutes later Sgt Sello Kobo gave Kempton Park the lead with a header. A late goal by Ezeh sealed the victory for Kempton Park.

With this win, Kempton Park SAPS now sits 11th on the log.

Kempton Park SAPS will be in action against Olifantsfontein SAPS at the Olifantsfontein Sports Grounds with hopes to secure a win in the Ekurhuleni North Cluster Soccer League.
