Planned water interuption in Thembisa

Additional water tankers will be made available and on standby to be dispatched when and where required.

The City of Ekurhuleni wishes to inform customers in Thembisa of a planned water service interruption scheduled for 21 October until 02:00am on Friday, 22 October 2021.

The water supply interruption will result in low water pressure to no water. This is due to repairs that will be conducted on the leaking H17 pipeline.

 The following areas will be affected:

  • Thembisa – all sections
  • Winnie Mandela Park zones 1 to 9 excluding Winnie Mandela zones 10 & 12,
  • Tswelopele – all extensions and
  • Clayville – all extensions

Water tankers will be dispatched and located as follows:

Three roving water tankers in the high lying areas including Esselen Park, Liliba Section, and Umthambeka Section Extension 11.

Additional water tankers will be made available and on standby to be dispatched when and where required.

The City of Ekurhuleni wishes to apologise for the inconvenience caused.
