#IMadeMyMark: What Kempton’s ACDP candidate has to say

Which service delivery problem in your ward (area), which hinders the rebuilding of the ward’s local economy, will you address first and how?

As part of its role to inform our readers, the Express publicly invited the ward candidates in the relevant wards to answer one question: Which service delivery problem in your ward (area), which hinders the rebuilding of the ward’s local economy, will you address first and how?

The ACDP’s candidate responded as follows:

Kempton Park John Mathieson:

“Grass-cutting is the first issue I would like to tackle. At this point, none of the suburbs have their parks/street verge grass cut.

“This has resulted in a huge increase in crime. Hijackers and smash-and-grabbers are targeting single women at traffic lights.

“As a result, residents have started cutting the grass in parks and on street verges themselves. This is wrong because the metro gets paid to do it. The ACDP will raise this matter in council whenever possible. Ratepayers deserve value for money.”
