Lingomso Foundation is a NPO that provides support to children in the community. Based in Thembisa, the organisation aims to fill the gap of parentless children by giving them positive role models to look up to.

Based in Thembisa, the organisation aims to fill the gap of parentless children by giving them positive role models to look up to.
Lingomso provides school-mentoring programmes by partnering with schools in the community.
It also provides stationery, sanitary towels, toiletries and uniforms for disadvantaged children at school where there are children in need.
Members also provide support to young schoolgirls on a healthy lifestyle, building their confidence and not being victims of teenage pregnancy.

The foundation aims to provide youth empowerment through career expo talks and guidelines on how they can apply to universities and colleges to enhance their potential; therefore, building a community that strives to alleviate poverty.
The foundation believes every child has the right to receive an education, which is key to building an independent, successful life and a chance to escape poverty.
Education gives children an opportunity to find their strengths and empowers them to pursue careers and to provide for themselves, as well as their future families.
Their mission is to:
• become part and parcel of a child’s educational growth
• provide every child with the necessary educational resources to allow them to perform at their optimum
• provide a high level of extramural activities that will assist the child’s growth
• create a learning environment that’s conducive to the child’s ability to learn and be motivated to continue learning
• assist the development of the learning environment to enhance the quality of education that the child has access to

Lingomso Foundation strives for efficiency and consistency in all its operations.
The foundation’s president and founder is Zandile Dlamini. She has a national diploma in entrepreneurship and a higher certificate in social auxiliary work.
“I am a hard worker and always hands-on in helping people achieve their dreams. Lingomso Foundation is a platform to assist young people to achieve their full potential.”
Zandile said Lingomso needs a shelter to provide extramural classes, other day-to-day activities and emergency accommodation.
