Two dead and two critical after Kempton crash

Two men in their 30s died following a collision between two light motor vehicles on Zuurfontein Road in Kempton Park earlier on February 6.

A third man as well as a woman suffered critical injuries.

Ross Campbell from ER24 said paramedics were on the scene at 17:15 along with the fire department and other law enforcement.

“The two vehicles were standing opposite each other in the road.

“Two men had suffered fatal injuries and were entrapped in the one vehicle. Both showed no signs of life and were declared dead on arrival.

“The third man, believed to be 25 years of age, was found outside the same vehicle, having suffered critical injuries. He was treated with Advanced Life Support interventions before being transported to Tembisa Provincial Hospital for further emergency treatment.

“A woman in her 30s was found in the other vehicle also having suffered critical injuries. She too was treated with Advanced Life Support interventions before being airlifted by medical helicopter to a private hospital for further care,” said Campbell.
