Kempton Park FC wins against their rivals Luso Africa

Kempton scored through their left winger Kamohelo Moloi assisted by Thato Selepe who put in the cross ball.

Following a 6-1 victory against Katlehong Warriors on July 24, the Kempton Park U19A team claimed a 2-0 win against Luso Africa on July 31.

The Kempton boys played against third-positioned Luso Africa in the 13th round of the Eastern Football Associations Colts Golden Stream League on home ground.

In the first half of the game, Kempton scored through their left winger Kamohelo Moloi assisted by Thato Selepe who put in the cross ball.

A second goal followed in the dying minutes of the second half of the match.

The team celebrated as their striker Simphiwe Nkosi confirmed the team’s performance with the second goal assisted by Kamohelo Moloi also known as “kamkam” to the people and the team.

Head coach Mvuyisi Vikwa said the match was not an easy one, however, the victory was a good confidence builder for the team, which also comprises players from Norkem Park High School who were preparing for the ST Davids Tournament in Inanda in August.

“The Luso game was very hard because they did not allow us to build from the back.

“We had to play the long game that worked very well for us. I was impressed when the boys scored a quick goal in the first five minutes of the game.

“We had prepared well for the game because we knew what Luso will bring, and we dealt with their striker very well. We managed their long balls as well as their dangerous set pieces.”

Kempton Park next faces South Side Stars in the last round.
