The organisation upholds elements of women that society downplays.

AbafaziPhambili held a healing event on August 13 to inspire women to recognise their own inner resources and self-determination.

Mantoa Selepe, one of the organisers, said people face numerous challenges, particularly women who fend for themselves.

“The goal is to create a society free from social evils,” said Selepe.

Board secretary Pelisa Makalima advised women to view themselves as the greatest project.

“You may not cause the emotional pain or life hardships, but it becomes your responsibility to take charge in healing those wounds,” said Makalima

Nomvula Mgambi, an AbafaziPhambili member, shared a moving testimonial about her involvement in the organisation and how it helped her to forgive.

She added that the organisation taught her to resist without resorting to violence.
