Tia Mokoka, who hosted the event, proved she is more than simply a powerhouse by keeping the energy high throughout the entire event.
The event’s goal was to commemorate the journey of the Miss Thembisa 2022 finalists, who committed to using their platform to address and promote a range of social concerns in local neighbourhoods.
According to Mokoka, the young women started their journey in February at the auditions and were given challenges starting in April, which would determine whether they make it to the next round of the competition.
“The #RoadToMiss MissTembisa2022 is not yet over but there has already been a substantial amount of progress through the Miss Tembisa Pageant’s annual drives.
“This includes #DignityFor All drive, which is a collection of sanitary pads and hygiene products, and the #ClothingDrive which is a collection of clothes. All the collected items were donated to charity homes (Tshepang care Centre and Phomolong Child Welfare).
“The Miss Tembisa pageant can say it does not only empower the girl child but contributes to inclusive empowerment and community upliftment,” said Mokoka
