Many squash clubs were forced to close, but Kempton Park Squash Club survived and has grown from strength to strength with the introduction of the business league, squash league and interclub competitions.

The club recently hosted a competition between itself and Modderfontein Squash Club.

Both the singles and doubles were fiercely contested with very little give and take, eventually ending in KCC emerging victorious.

The teams competing consisted of eight players and were of a high standard throughout the competition.

It is with great thanks to the teams from Modderfontein who proved to be formidable opponents.

The competition between KCC and Modderfontein will hopefully generate interest across the East Rand and Gauteng clubs to participate in to benefit squash on the reef.
