Public Service Act personnel of Kempton Park police honoured
Public Service Month and Arbor Day observed at the Kempton Park SAPS.
September marks integrated Public Service Month (PSM).

PSM also serves as a reminder of what it means to serve communities and members at Kempton Park SAPS observed this by honouring their Public Service Act (PSA) personnel.
“We honour our PSA personnel to show that we recognise them in SAPS. They are very important and do a great job,” said Colonel Motsatsi Lesomo, Kempton Park SAPS support commander.
“Our PSA personnel includes our accountant’s clerk, administrative clerk and data typists.
They also serve our external clients, such as when people want to apply for a firearm license.

“We show our appreciation by giving them name tags. The reason for the name tags is for them to be identified, as the public and community members need to know who they are.”
Shortly after receiving their name tags, the members also took time to observe Arbor Day.
“The station is filled with a lot of beautiful but old trees and we want members to witness and recognise the importance of tree planting,” explained Lesomo.
“They will witness the tree grow and in years to come they will be able to share that they were present when the tree was planted.”
