Reader calls on businesses to help SPCA

"I would like to use your publication to appeal to the many supermarkets and pet food stockists in Kempton Park to donate cat and dog food to our SPCA."

EDITOR – I refer to the article in the Express of October 13 about low pet food reserves at Kempton Park SPCA.

I would like to use your publication to appeal to the many supermarkets and pet food stockists in Kempton Park to donate cat and dog food to our SPCA.

Surely each of these Kempton Park businesses wouldn’t be averse to making a tax-deductible donation of two or three bags of cat and dog food once a month?

The SPCA provides an invaluable service and it must be heart-breaking and terrifying for the staff to know that their food pantry is almost empty.

What a blessing it would be if all Kempton Park businesses could assist the SPCA to continue feeding and caring for the many defenceless animals they take in every day.
