Tembisa station commander congratulates newly promoted personnel

"You're are one of the assets in the SAPS because the rotten potatoes are sieved and thrown out of the service daily."

Brigadier Roopchand Sookraj, the commander of Tembisa Police Station, congratulated the team members promoted on November 18 from the rank of Constable to Sergeant and from Sergeant to Warrant Officer.

Warrant Officers Pony Nyatlo, Abel Sekgobela, Cindy Qothelo, and Peter Lebese are among the recently promoted Warrant Officers, along with Sergeant Asnath Makgupya from the Social Crime Prevention sector teams, Sergeant Steve Mashao and Sergeant Kedibone Machete, to name a few.

The members were reminded by Sookraj of the constitution’s Section 205 mandate – the oath they had taken and the vow they had made.

“You must be proud of yourselves. It means you are one of the assets in the SAPS because the rotten potatoes are sieved and thrown out of the service daily.

“These ranks mean more responsibility on your shoulders,” warned Sookraj.
