Mass prayer held at Thembisa hotspots
According to communications officer for Thembisa South SAPS Constable Bridget Mavuso, prayers are powerful.
SAPS members of different stations around Ekurhuleni North in collaboration with other law enforcement from EMPD, POWA, the traditional healers’ organisation and local pastors embarked on a mass prayer.

The prayer began at the Baptist Church in the Isithama neighbourhood of Thembisa at around 10:00 to inform the participants about the widespread prayer for the reduction of crime in the community.
According to communications officer for Thembisa South SAPS Constable Bridget Mavuso, prayers are powerful.
“Participants were dropped off at various entrance points near Olifants, Rabie Ridge, Esselen Park, and Ivory Park.
At precisely 12:00, all the groups began praying.
The traditional healers pleaded with the higher power to subdue the spirits responsible for the accidents on our road.

“It gives me great pleasure to remind people that seeking God first is a strategy for overcoming obstacles and a way to draw wisdom and power from God to effect change,” said Mavuso.
Attending the mass prayer were Ekurhuleni North’s Captain Modise of social crime prevention and Captain Mabelebele (cluster chaplain).
