Man found dead near Pretoria Road

Letmore Fusire (24) was found dead in the bushes on Pretoria Road on January 23.

According to information received by the Kempton Express, Letmore was last seen by his employer on Friday after he had collected his weekly salary.

On Monday he did not report for work.

He’s colleagues searched the area where Letmore used to walk to work and home.

They discovered his lunch bag and then his body in the bushes along a path used as a shortcut from Rietfontein Avenue to Pretoria Road.

Letmore was an employed builder and was working in Glen Marais before his death.

His mother, Emmaculet Samhere, who was at the scene shortly after her son’s body was discovered, was left distraught.

She was on her way to the Kempton Park SAPS to open a missing persons docket when she received the call.

“The last time I saw Letmore was on Wednesday last week.

“On Saturday, his uncle asked me when I last saw Letmore because he was trying to call him and his phone kept going to voicemail,” said the mother.

“My son partied over the weekends so I assumed he was still socialising.

“I couldn’t sleep after his uncle asked me about him so I went to where he lives because he stays nearby to me.

Fellow tenants said they had last seen him on Friday morning going to work but he never returned.

“I recognised my son by his dreadlocks.”

Sec Pros Security along with officers from Kempton Park SAPS was on the scene and assisted with gathering evidence for the investigation.

At the time of going to print, a cause of death could not be confirmed.

Numerous attempts were made by the Express to obtain further details from Kempton Park SAPS. At the time of going to print none had been released.

Letmore would have celebrated his 25th birthday on January 29.
