Thembisa woman stabbed to death by ex-boyfriend

The 27-year-old suspect faces charges of murder in the Tembisa Magistrate's Court.

A 29-year-old woman was stabbed to death by her ex-boyfriend on January 30.

According to the Rabie Ridge Police Station spokesperson, Sergeant Jacob Nhlongo, an eyewitness reported that the deceased was waiting for the school bus with her two children, ages two months and seven, when her ex-boyfriend stabbed her once in the upper body before walking away.

“She made an attempt to rush to the house adjacent to where she was standing, but she was unable to do so due to the severity of her injuries,” said Nhlongo.

“The suspect lives in Mayibuye and is a well-known individual. He was apprehended after he was taken to the police by members of his family.”

He faces charges of murder in the Tembisa Magistrate’s Court.
