Letter: Reader questions legality of street vendors in Birchleigh North

EDITOR – I am a concerned citizen of Kempton Park.

Just opposite Pick and Pay Birchleigh North there are quite a few street vendors that are selling ‘sweets’ mostly to high schools.

I doubt if they have permission to have their stalls there.

I have in the past requested help from our SAPS and local councillors but to no avail.

These informal street vendors will devalue our property and when property evaluations are done, does the council take into account these anomalies?
