Letter: Bonaero Park resident says enough is enough with politics in Council

EDITOR – We have lived in Bonaero Park since 1986 and have never seen such a shambles.

Kempton Park as a whole has fallen apart and our municipality is 100% to blame.
Look how you behave in council meetings, you are all worse than children bickering in the playground over who should have the ball.
When are you going to get it into your heads that you are there to serve ratepayers, the very people who put you there in the first place and who pay your salaries?
Running a municipality should never be about power or politics. It should be about serving the community and making the area safe and clean.
But no, you lot are more interested in blaming the other one for things not getting done, too busy trying to oust members who you don’t like or agree with (juvenile playground bullying).

In the meantime our power supply is dubious, the roads are full of potholes, streetlights are not working and putting our wheelie bins out is like playing Russian Roulette because we all know what happens on rubbish day – absolutely nothing.
Enough now! Stop all this politicking, sabotage, bickering and playing the blame game.
Start working together to make Kempton Park great again. Your ratepayers are supporters of all political parties.
We don’t actually care what party you as individuals represent all we want is to have reliable electricity, get our roads and streetlights fixed and our rubbish collected.
Let’s show all the other municipalities how by working together we can be a leading example of how things should be done. And remember this – we voted you in, we can just as easily vote you out.Karen Lloyd
