The 22-year-old male was found next to the road with a gunshot wound to the upper torso.

This is according to Sergeant Jacob Nhlongo, the spokesperson for the Rabie Ridge Police Station.

“We learned through our investigations and search that the deceased was carrying an illegal firearm, likely stolen from its owner.

“There was just one cartridge where the body was found, so it is unclear what happened.”

“On February 9, another body was discovered at the Kanana sports field.”
