Animals at Kempton Park’s SPCA need loving homes

The adoption process may take up to seven working days to complete.

These are the steps to take when adopting a pet from the Kempton Park SPCA:

1. Choose an animal and fall in love.

2. Complete the application form to adopt the animal. Pay a R200 (non-refundable) deposit. You need a copy of your ID and proof of residence.

3. The staff will inspect your application.

4. The adoption process may take up to seven working days to complete, and pre-home inspections are ONLY done between 10:00 and 14:00, Monday to Friday.

5. On approval of the application and pre-home inspection, the balance of the adoption fee is payable.

6. The animal will go for sterilisation as soon as there is space at the vet and after approval of the home inspection.

This three-and-a-half-month-old female kitten is waiting to meet her forever family.

7. Take your fur baby home.

The society reserves the right to reject or refuse the application.

Adoption fees:

• Dog: R1 300 (includes sterilisation, micro-chip, first vaccination, first dewormer and tag).

This energetic adult female Jack Russel is available for adoption. She is waiting in kennel S12.

• Cat: R950 (includes sterilisation, first vaccination, first dewormer and micro-chip optional).
