Bakkie driver dies in crash on road P91

Norkem Park SAPS warn drivers to be cautious driving on the P91.

A driver in a bakkie was travelling on the P91 when he lost control and collided with a light pole on February 19.

According to Norkem Park SAPS, an eyewitness informed them that the driver was ejected out of the vehicle and that the vehicle rolled over the driver.

Paramedics were called to the scene and declared the driver dead on arrival.

“The deceased was taken to Germiston mortuary,” said Norkem Park SAPS communications officer Warrant Officer Barbara-Anne Ferreira.

“Norkem Park SAPS warns drivers driving on the P91 and Rienert Avenue to be cautious as this is a high accident zone. Many accidents that are fatal on these roads are reported at Norkem Park SAPS,” said Ferreira.
