Journalist Atlegang Makgoba confirmed that a group of around 200 Glen Marikana protesters were on the move in Monument Road.

Business along the road have begun to close their gates and doors.

Meanwhile, protesters from Thembisa have regrouped.

Earlier the Express reported that early morning protesters and police officials clashed in parts of Winnie Mandela Informal Settlement.

Protesters were seen throwing stones at police officers.

Police officers retaliated by firing rubber bullets to disperse the crowds.
